About Hourvio

Built in Germany, for European teams who bill by the hour

We built Hourvio because European teams deserve a time tracker that takes privacy, honest pricing, and the people using it seriously.

Why we built Hourvio

We spent years watching European teams reach for American time trackers, tolerate surveillance features they never asked for, and hand customer data to whichever cloud happened to own the product that week. Every procurement call ended with the same three questions about GDPR, data residency, and screenshots — and the same shrugging answers. We built Hourvio to stop shrugging. A time tracker for Europe, run from Germany, with answers we're comfortable putting in writing.

The problem with most time trackers is a trust gap. The simple ones are too bare to run a business on — no approvals, no invoicing, no audit trail. The powerful ones bolt on monitoring features that treat your team like suspects. We wanted something a European founder could hand to a new hire without flinching, that a finance lead could defend in an audit, and that a freelancer could bill a client from. One workspace, one honest price, no surveillance.

Built in Germany, for Europe

Hourvio is built and operated by Hexa Logic UG (haftungsbeschränkt), a German company based in Germany. Every workspace runs on servers in German data centers, under German data protection law and European court jurisdiction. That choice matters. It means your tracked hours, invoices, and employee records never leave the European Union, and nobody on our side needs to explain what a third-country transfer is to a lawyer.

We treat GDPR as the floor, not the ceiling. Data minimization, lawful basis, retention limits, export and deletion on request — these are defaults, not an enterprise add-on we try to upsell. If a feature can't pass a privacy review, we don't ship it. If a subprocessor can't commit to EU-only processing, we don't add them. The German privacy pages on this site are the legally binding text; the English pages you are reading are convenience summaries that point back to the originals.

What we stand for

We do not believe in watching people work. Hourvio has no screenshots, no webcam monitoring, no keystroke logging, and no mouse tracking. We will never add them. If a prospect asks whether we can silently monitor their team, the answer is a flat no — and that is the entire story. We trust the people using the product to do their jobs, and we build tools that help them prove their work, not tools that police it.

We believe in transparency everywhere else too. Honest per-user pricing that does not change once you're inside, a feature list that clearly separates what we ship today from what is still on the roadmap, and isolated infrastructure from the Professional tier so that those customers run on their own database and application server instead of shared multi-tenancy. That is what European software should feel like, and that is what we are building.

Privacy by default

No screenshots, no webcam monitoring, no keystroke logging, no mouse tracking. Ever. Your team is not the product.

Trust over control

We build tools that help people prove their work, not tools that police it. Supervision stays with humans, not software.

EU-hosted in Germany

Every workspace runs in German data centers under European law. Your data never leaves the EU.

Isolated infrastructure

Professional and Business customers get a dedicated database and application server. No shared multi-tenancy.
