One module, every way to track time

We built time tracking as the foundation everything else reads from. Reports, invoices, timesheets, approvals, and budgets all trace back to the same entries, so there is one version of the truth. No parallel spreadsheets, no copy-paste between tools, no month-end reconciliation.

People forget to start timers and nobody wants friction, so manual entries, back-dating, and copy-last-week are first-class. Every entry keeps its original timezone, snapshots its billable rate at creation, and can be frozen by a lock date once a period has been reviewed.

The module is in the Free plan. Advanced rounding, tags, and exports unlock on Starter, and approval workflows unlock on Professional, so teams grow into the plan they need without rebuilding their data.

  • One-click timer

Start, stop, or edit a running timer from any workspace view. Continue from the last entry and long-running timer alerts protect forgotten starts.

  • Manual entry and back-dating

Add hours after the fact with a start/end time or a plain duration. Split a four-hour block into two, or restore a deletion within seven days.

  • Weekly timesheet grid

A spreadsheet-style grid with daily columns and project rows, live totals, and bulk save across every cell in a single request.

  • Calendar view

See tracked entries laid out across the day, drag to adjust, and drill into any block for details without leaving the view.

  • Google and Outlook Calendar sync

Events from Google Calendar and Outlook appear alongside tracked time so meetings and deep work stay in one place.

  • Bulk import from Excel

Upload a spreadsheet, map columns to time entry fields, preview the parsed rows, and commit in a single operation.

  • Time rounding (Starter+)

Round up, down, or to the nearest 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The rounded duration sits alongside the actual duration on every entry.

  • Approval states visible per entry

Pending, approved, or rejected status shows on every entry. Rejection notes travel back to the author without email threads.

One-click timer with continue-from-last

Start a timer from any view, keep editing its description, project, or tags while it runs, and stop it when you are done. Continue from the previous entry restores the same context in a single tap, and long-running timer alerts catch the ones you forgot to stop.

  • Start, stop, and edit a running timer from any view
  • Continue from last entry preserves project, task, tags, and description
  • Long-running timer alerts with optional email notification
  • Running timer is fully editable, including its start time
  • Duplicate an entry to start a new copy in one click

Weekly grid for people who think in weeks

A spreadsheet-style grid with daily columns and project rows. Copy last week's structure in one click, type or paste hours into any cell, save the whole grid in a single request, and drill into any entry for details. Friday afternoon timesheets stop being a meeting.

  • Daily columns and project and task rows, like a spreadsheet
  • Copy last week's structure and hours in one click
  • Live daily totals and weekly grand total update as you type
  • Bulk save across every cell in a single request
  • Drill down from any cell into the underlying entry

Bulk import from Excel

Migrate years of historical time from spreadsheets or another tool without retyping a single row. Import historical time entries from an Excel (.xlsx) file. Map columns, preview rows, map columns to Hourvio fields with a reusable transformer, and commit the whole batch in one operation.

  • Auto-detect columns from the header row
  • Map columns to Hourvio fields with reusable transformers
  • Preview parsed entries before committing anything
  • Single bulk commit preserves original dates and projects
  • Import history keeps every past import for audit
